Founded in 1954 by Ernesto Colnago in Italy, the Colnago brand soon became a common sight in the professional peloton. In 1970, Michele Dancelli rode a Colnago frame to victory in Italy's biggest one-day race, Milan-San Remo. This was such a great victory for Colnago that he based his flower-like logo - the Ace of Clubs - on this win, to coincide with Milan San Remo's spring date. This logo still adorns Colnago frames to this day. If you want a frame that has a timeless design, is a masterpiece in Italian craftsmanship and boasts the finest paint scheme, the Master X-Light is definitely for you. A combination of a straight top tube traditional geometry, crafted lugs, high-quality steel construction and over sixty years worth of Colnago experience has resulted in the creation of a truly Italian thoroughbred. The Master was first created in the mid-1980s and is a much sought-after and admired design that even after over thirty years has not deviated from the original. At the end of the day, a classic does not need to be tampered with. Entirely designed and made by the finest Colnago craftsmen in DT15V steel and chromium plating. Steel is known to be a comfortable material and with Colnago's experience, this frame is no different. Providing an engaging ride with all-day comfort, it is also keen to accelerate at the slightest push of the pedal. Chrome lugs welded to star-shaped tubing create a unique design. To add a finishing touch, the frame is paired with a chrome-plated steel Precisa fork, both elegant, strong and in keeping with the frame.
